Icknield Port Loop Development

Outline Planning approval has been granted, subject to agreement of a S106, for a major residential-led mixed use development on the western edge of the City Centre. The application site extends to 22.4 hectares of land across Icknield Port Loop and incorporates various land and premises, the majority of which is presently vacent.

The applicant’s vision is to undertake a high quality, sustainable development of predominantly family housing to stimulate a transformational change to the local marketplace, and act as a catalyst for further development to achieve the Council’s vision of sustainable neighbourhoods.

The application sought outline concent for up to 1150 dwellings and a range of supporting uses including; retail, services, employment, leisure uses together with hotel, community facilities, open space and landscaping.
